Medan - Bahorok - Berastagi - Lake Toba Tour

Day 1 : Medan (LD)
Upon arrival at
Medan's Polonia airport, met by our representative and go on Medan city tour
to visit the Museum, Maimoon Palace, the Grand Mosque (Mesjid Raya), and
Eastern Mountain temple (Vihara Gunung Timur). Lunch at local restaurant
before checking into the hotel. Overnight & dinner in Medan.
Day 2 : Medan – Bahorok -
Medan (BLD)
After breakfast, leave
for Bahorok. On arrival, lunch at local restaurant. After lunch, our tour
escort will bring you to observe the feeding or other natural activities of
orang utans at their rehabilitation centre located in Mount Leuser National
Park. After that, proceed on the return journey to Medan, having dinner in one
of the small towns if we cannot reach Medan in time for dinner. Overnight in
Medan.
Day 3 : Medan - Berastagi (BLD)
After breakfast, leave
Medan for Berastagi in the Karo Highlands. Upon arrival, tour the Gundaling
Hill to view to two active volcanoes Mt Sibayak and Mt Sinabung before
proceeding to the fruit market. Lunch at local restaurant before checking into
the hotel. If time and weather permit, an optional dip in the sulphurous hot
springs at own expense may be arranged. Dinner & overnight in Berastagi.
Day 4 : Berastagi - Parapat -
Samosir Island (BLD)
After
breakfast, leave for Parapat. En route, stop over at Sipiso - piso waterfall
and Pematang Purba to see the longhouses of Batak Simalungun. Lunch will be in
Parapat. After lunch, take a ferry across Lake Toba to Samosir island. Dinner
& overnight on Samosir island.
Day 5 : Samosir Island -
Parapat (BLD)
After breakfast, take
an excursion tour of the island to visit Tomok and Ambarita villages where you
could see the old tomb of king Sidabutar and the Batak tribe communities. For
a group of 8 paxs or more, lunch will be served at the romantic islet of Pulau
Tao. After lunch, proceed to Simanindo for a show of ethnic customs and
dancing while seated within an ancient fort. Dinner & overnight in Parapat.
Day 6 : Parapat - Medan (B)
Breakfast at hotel,
then leave for Medan via the oil palm and rubber plantations-lined trans
Sumatera highway. A brief stop is made to see and experience rubber-tapping.
Toilet stop will be at Pematang Siantar. Upon arrival, lunch at local
restaurant before check into the hotel. Dinner and overnight in Medan.
Day 7 : Medan - Airport (B)
After breakfast,
free at own leisure until time to transfer to Polonia airport for the flight
to your next destination.
